Home Tour Day After Christmas

HometourdayafterChristmas

My sweet husband surprised me with a new camera lens for my birthday/Christmas (which are days apart).  When you get a gift like that it is the most fun to actually use it.  I spent the day playing around with it and trying to understand how it works.  I am still learning so much but have always done that best just by doing. While practicing with my new gift, it got me to thinking…

I loved the opportunity to welcome you into our home by sharing a tour during the Christmas season.  I was able to pretty up our home and take some fun staged pictures. Now that Christmas has come and gone, I thought it would be just as fun to share our home tour the day after Christmas. I loved taking these pictures, I walked around observing my loved ones enjoying the magic of the season.  It was a treat to see the kids contently playing and how nice the aftermath of this monumental celebration is.  Needless to say, this day of rest was much needed and appreciated!  So I hope you enjoy a real look into our lives and the “after” of it all…

Legos (many many pieces) fill the coffee table while big and little hands construct spaceships.

You can spot a sweet little head of hair beyond the twinkle lights and decor playing with her new dolls, humming and smiling all at the same time.

Our good boy, Wyatt waits eagerly at the door by slippers and piles of laundry… Wishing he could run around outside as the snow falls yet doesn’t stick.

A remote control robot lays in the middle of the floor waiting to be played with again and again.

Around the corner, ponies and puppies line the hallway after hours of imaginary play.  This toy has found it’s place as most “favorite”.  It is nostalgic to see my youngest enjoy something that I remember playing with as a little girl myself.

Plaids and garland still grace the linens and furniture in our bedroom. I’m not ready to pull any of this down quite yet.

My oldest gets to enjoy our family ornaments and the glow of Christmas for a little bit longer…

Everything is a little more quiet and a little more calm.  I think it is just right considering the build up of the holiday.  I loved this day and it makes everything that much more sweet.  I hope your Christmas was lovely and as always I appreciate you here.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

    1. Kelly such a compliment – thank you! I am loving the lens and had no idea what a difference it can make! I have a Canon 7D camera and I use the prime lens. I believe it is the 50 mm. I appreciate you being here!
