Easy 6 Ingredient Salted Caramel – Dairy Free!
Easy Dairy Free Salted Caramel Recipe!
How To Make Dairy Free Salted Caramel!
And now comes all the holiday treat recipes! I love this time of year, I truly do. It is so much fun to enjoy traditions and make memories. Some of my favorite memories with my kiddos are baking and creating. When we realized we had some food allergies going on a few years back, it made it so much harder to enjoy some of the things we always did during the holidays. So this last couple years I have really been on a mission to create recipes that my family can still enjoy without feeling like they are missing out! Which is why I am so happy to join Kristen at Ella Claire today to share these 6 ingredient salted caramels which happen to be dairy free as well!
In fact, they are made with natural ingredients, which I just love! So here is what you will need:
- 1 jar (16 oz) of cashew butter
- 8 tbsp. of maple syrup
- 6 tsp. date syrup (this gives the caramel a more true color)
- 4 tbsp. of melted coconut oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- Salt for sprinkling
- Silicone candy molds
To whip these together, you simply mix all the ingredients together! I used our stand mixer to do this but you could do it by hand if you wanted.
Next you will spoon and flatten the mixture into silicone molds of your choice. And set them into the freezer until they are hardened.
And there you have it!
This was my first time putting these together and they are delicious!
I will say, I thought they would be a little more caramel textured, but after some thought I think they may resemble fudge a bit too!
So I suppose you could call them caramels or fudge ;)…
I am going to keep playing around with the recipe and try incorporating carob powder, gingerbread spices, crunchy textures, etc… I’ll keep you updated!
Please note that these are best enjoyed straight out of the freezer! They do not store well and soften quickly. So if given as a gift, you would want to make sure your recipient knew that as well!
I hope that you enjoyed and thanks so much for visiting today! Make sure to visit with my friends sharing down below too!
