Hello sweet friends! It has been a while in between posts and I am really excited to be back today sharing for the Styled + Set Tours with Lory at Designthusiasm! I wanted this table to be simple but with elegant refinement and most of all easy to throw together! I envisioned having it be more of a family celebration, as most years we do something for Valentine’s Day that is low key with small kids at home ;)…
My kiddos love seeing the stunning table dressed up and my little lady jumped right in to help me get things prepared!
Of course pink comes to mind when thinking of Valentine’s Day and mixing it with gold is a favorite combo of mine.
I went with bolder dramatic hues and even some orange tones thrown amongst the pops of black.
I had this new wooden kitchen bowl and simply used a glass bowl inside to house the flowers with some water. Of course, I incorporated real and faux flowers together and this is such a budget friendly way to make arrangements.
To take it a step further, I found these pretty rose gold plastic plates while out shopping one day. They aren’t the real thing (fine china), but look just as pretty and make clean up a breeze, which is a win-win in my book!

Entertaining can be fun when you go all out with the very best dishes, flowers or foods and it can be just as rewarding with paper plates, faux flowers and good company!
Either way it is a joy and one that I love getting to share with you…

Annie, that floral centerpiece is gorgeous! I love the colors and I’m amazed that part of it is faux! Fabulous idea!! We, too, always used to spend Valentine’s Day with our kids and to this day, even though my kids are grown and living on their own, I always send them sweets for the holiday and each year take pains to make it different and fun… 🙂 Enjoy your sweet family!!
