Cozy and Neutral Christmas Decor – “Here Comes Santa” Blog Tour
Hello friends and welcome to those of you who are visiting from Lucy over at Craftberry Bush! I am thrilled to have you all here today as we share in a fun “Here Comes Santa” Blog Tour! We had the pleasure of receiving some beautiful products from Grandin Road that are a part of this tour too.
Here at our place we enjoy the tradition of Santa Claus and eagerly countdown the days for his arrival. While this is not the purpose of why we celebrate Christmas, we choose to make him a part of the big birthday celebration.
Cookies are carefully set out with a thank you note and a delicious glass of milk. Truthfully, we have been doing this same thing since I was a little girl…
(Christmas Tree from King of Christmas)
It doesn’t have to be fancy and in fact sometimes they are homemade and others they are store bought. Mostly we use our cookie baking leftovers and know that Santa will enjoy them just the same ;).
(Faux Fur Throw and Knit Pillows – Grandin Road)
Our kiddos believe he finds his way down the chimney, takes a little break (on our DIY sofa bed) with some sweets and then leaves a present for each of them by the tree.
The stockings are always hung where he also leaves them some wrapped essentials inside. Important necessities such as toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrushes, new socks, chapstick and more. These are extra special though during this time of year as they are covered in favorite characters and in their favorite flavors from Santa himself.
Since Santa takes a load off from all the traveling on his big night, we make sure to have the space cozy and warm. A large and soft faux fur lines the sofa as do chunky knits and pillows.
(Faux Fur Sheepskin Rug, White Tree Candles, Willow Tree Ring and Mirror – Grandin Road)
Large knit stools are laid out for resting feet and cookie placement atop a cozy faux sheepskin rug.
(Small Flocked Trees – Grandin Road)
The theme is neutral but wintry in nature. Simple elements such as glittery bulbs and pretty flocked trees make it feel like home.
We make sure to bring in lots of greenery and line the mantle with fresh cut clippings from the yard. That night we can turn on the candles to light his way through the dark…
Presents are wrapped with easy bows and Santa’s gifts always have a unique paper so we can easily tell the difference =).
Twinkle lights are what make the room. And gold accents shine extra bright with an amber glow on the diamond shaped mirror.
Whether we get snow on Christmas or not, we make sure to leave some of our own here and there.
To say we are excited as we prep for all the joy is an understatement. It is my true pleasure to include these sweethearts in memorable traditions that evoke feelings of warmth and home.
Most of all that they understand the true gift and that we can treasure that every day of the year.
Thank you so much for joining me today and don’t forget to head over to the next stop on the tour at Kristen’s Ella Claire.
Each of these ladies are so very talented and here is the entire list so that you can stop by each one!
Annie,
Your home looks stunning!! Where did you get your gorgeous stockings?
Tracy thank you very much! I got them from Hobby Lobby and then embellished them with some chunky yarn =).
Hi! I’ve been eyeing that same rug on rugsusa for the last couple days (yippy black friday sales!) and I was wondering how long you’ve had it and whether it seems it might get dingy? I have three little kiddos and I’m not sure whether the black design will keep the white from being grey before long or not … 🙂
Hi Becky, yes those sales are the best! We have really enjoyed it. It is in our entry way, so truthfully it does get wear but I feel like it actually hides it well as of the pattern. I considered all those things too when we got it and so far it is holding up =)… Thanks so much for stopping by!
I SO enjoyed your Christmas tour! Not only is your home lovely every day of the year, I love how your have it decorated for Christmas! I love the neutral palette and the great textures you have incorporated, along with all of the greenery….stunning! Thanks for sharing.
Lanita, thank you very much! Hope you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to visit and leave sweet words!

Annie,
This cozy setting is so inviting..not to mention the cookies and milk.. Makes me wish I could be Santa’s helper for this Christmas Eve visit..
Kelly thank you so much! I had such fun visiting with you this weekend – thank you again!
This room is absolutely stunning, Annie! It’s also so warm and inviting … LOVE the mirror (what a statement!) and all of your fabulous textures. I hope Santa visits our house first because if he comes to yours instead, he won’t want to leave! 😉
Hi Becca and thank you for the sweet compliment and giggle! I really appreciate it and that you came to visit here!
