Styled and Set – Christmas Entertaining Blog Tour
Hello friends and welcome here if you are visiting from Jamie at So Much Better With Age! I am so happy to have you all here as we return for the second part of Styled and Set – Holiday Entertaining Blog Tour hosted by the very talented Lory and Designthusiasm… Today I will be sharing our Christmas styled table for the season.
Since sharing our Thanksgiving table here, I decided I really wanted to continue decorating with natural elements and colors again. Our Christmas decor this year is green and winter white, with the usual additions of texture =).
I really enjoy getting creative with the things we already have and this table was no different. I used evergreen clippings from the yard and simply placed them atop fringed cloth napkins.
I already had these faux flowers and as I always do, I mixed in some real greens too. I took a serving bowl that went with our casual setting and filled it with the greens. Since most were faux it was easy to arrange and keep in place.
Of course the table had to be surrounded by twinkle lights and Christmas trees…
As this was a setting made special for a Christmas meal.
Lofty blankets and throws are set in every spot and you can see why since the raindrops found their way onto the windows the day I photographed this spread ;).
Pretty packaged presents make a simple yet festive statement sitting behind the dining table.
All together it creates a warm and cozy place for enjoying a warm meal.
The setting is simple yet elegant and the kiddos feel like it is a fancy feast. Something different from their everyday character dishes, lol…
They also are big helpers in the kitchen as we prep our favorite dishes of the season (a.k.a. cranberry sauce here).
The scents of this season fill the air and all is right on this rainy, special and anxiously awaited day.
I hope you had fun visiting and maybe left with some ideas to easily use in your sweet home!

Annie – I love your Christmas table, especially the beautiful centerpiece! Thanks for sharing….
Lanita thank you so very much! I am glad you stopped by!
Love a good naked tree with just twinkle lights! I think that you’ve inspired me to do that out on my patio.
Janet thank you and I am glad to hear you think so! I have just loved getting to know you through these tours and I am in awe of all the beauty you create, truly so inspiring!
Gorgeous…from the place settings to the centerpiece to the beautiful table filled with trees. Love the backdrop of the table of the lovely bank of windows. Beautiful room! Merry Christmas!
Shirley thank you so much! I really appreciate and Merry Christmas to you!
Annie, I love your natural, textural style…I love to use real greens for the holidays, and I LOVE the eucalyptus we are now all using, but I feel I can’t put it out until a couple of days before entertaining…how do you handle the eucalyptus?
Lisa thank you so very much! Yes I know what you mean about Eucalyptus – I do find it lasts a long time but truthfully looks its best in the first few days. I have had some great luck with faux (as that is what you see on the table here) and have found great looking bunches available at Hobby Lobby. When you find them on sale they comparable to the real thing and look pretty close. I hope that helps and I appreciate you stopping by!
You make everything look so dreamy! I hope you enjoy a beautiful holiday season with your family.
Julie what a compliment coming from you, thank you! I hope that you do too!
