Some Simple Fall Updates around the House
I added some inexpensive seasonal updates to our home. Many of them were used from what we had or cost dollars to make. I got some pumpkins from the dollar store and painted them in muted fall colors. I used plaid blankets or even scarves around the house; lots of layering with blankets creates a cozy atmosphere with interesting texture. I tried to bring the outdoors in with branches, dried hydrangeas and fresh rosemary from the garden. The wreath around Bessie the cow is made out of paper and the tutorial can be found from Craftberry Bush – here. I added my sweater pumpkins (tutorial here). I loved and was inspired by the blanket I saw on Jones Design Company and gave a blanket I had around the house some poms. Again all these fall decorations are simple and done so inexpensively. I hope this gives you some inspiration as (at least here) the weather cools down and the nights grow longer. Thanks for stopping by!
I love the rosemary and nuetral colors. You have a great design style. I especially like the mason jars on the tree holder. Cute idea.
Thank you Gayle! It’s fun to get creative and inspired with things you already have around and growing
