Christmas in the Dining Room!
Christmas Decor For The Dining Room!

How To Decorate Your Dining Room for Christmas!
We started in the kitchen and now we are slowly making our way around the house… Today we move into the dining room. One of my favorite places to gather with friends and loved ones this time of year. For those reasons, setting the table is that much more special and magical throughout the season. I am joining Kristen at Ella Claire today for her Seasons of Home Series and you heard it already, but today is all about dining rooms/tablescapes. So I did a little bit of both!

And much like my home, I am keeping things pretty neutral this year again. Although I am having little pops of color find their way here (like you may have seen on our tree).

I like something to set the tone for the table and these sweet flannel napkins did just that! I knew I wanted simple greenery already, so when I saw these I realized they would be a perfect pair!

One of the things I really enjoy about Christmas tablescapes is that they can be beautifully overdone or underdone! Something as little as faux greenery laid out in the shape of a runner is lovely.

Sometimes I will set a table with a large or high arrangement, but for this one, I wanted to keep things with a lower profile. That is why this greenery worked well.

Candles are great any time of year, but I feel they are almost mandatory during Christmas ;)…

Speaking of greenery… I combined a couple sprays in with some faux swag I had on hand too.

I’m not sure if I should admit it, but this flatware is plastic. I have yet to get a solid gold set and had these on hand so I used them! In truth, I think with all the holiday entertaining that takes place it is ok to use disposable tableware here and there.

So while we are confessing, I will share that these plates are plastic too… I grabbed them while out shopping back some time ago and they were a steal! Again, something I want to invest in… But playing around with these for a while to see if is worth buying a set.

And of course glassware is a decoration in of itself!

They sparkle and shine against the twinkle lights…

You can see how easy putting a festive, but neutral table can be!

I am hoping this gave you some inspiration today!

And that you can do so much with so little or on a budget for the holidays.
