Our Tree Trimmed With Gold and Decorated For Christmas!
An Elegant Gold Trimmed Christmas Tree!
Hi there again you all! I am so excited to share our gold trimmed Christmas tree today… This was such a joy to decorate our home for the first time this year in our new home. And in addition, I get to join Kristen from Ella Claire & Co. today as we all open our homes to take a look at how we have decorated trees for Christmas.
I worked really hard to reuse what we already had this year and that mean pulling out my family heirloom ornaments.
Of course I sprinkled in a few of my newer ones from years past…
But a good portion belonged to my grandma and her mom, which is so special!
I wanted incorporate some blue with all of the gold, but not go over the top. So that meant little splashes of blue here and there through ornament details and berries.
I actually ordered some more berries and they just haven’t arrived yet (this was one of the only purchases I made along with ribbon =).
I also tied dusty blue ribbon on a few ornaments as well.
Then lots of gold can be found throughout with more ornaments…
Something I did that was a little different this year was to use magnolia picks.
This tree is a Noble Fir style which means the branches are more spread out.
So adding the magnolia picks made it feel like trimming or almost garland in it’s own way and I really love it!
Then I simple wrapped ribbon atop my boxes and kept them in that same color them.
Did you notice my second hand giant clam shell? I had visions of filling it up like this for Christmas and I couldn’t be more excited!
I can’t wait to share more with you in this coming weeks…
I hope this inspired you a bit as you may be getting ready to decorate for Christmas as well!
