Our Kitchen Renovation Is Complete!
This post was sponsored by Cafe Appliances, HanStone Quartz, FloForm, Lumber Liquidators and Wayfair.
Hello friends, I hope that you all had a good weekend! I am so excited to finally be writing this post as this project has been something that we have been working on for such a very long time! We are finally ready to reveal that our kitchen renovation is complete and today I get to share all the details with you!
For starters, our kitchen is a hardworking spot in our home as most kitchens are ;)… And it is pretty tiny. We have gotten creative over the years on how to make the most of our space as well. The house was built to have an eat in kitchen and we chose instead to make it an extension with an island and more storage cabinets. But before I get to that, let me share some of my favorite new additions to the space that we have waited years to enjoy!
The first being our new refrigerator, range and dishwasher from Cafe Appliances!
These specific appliances have a beautiful unique look to them and they perform amazingly! As you can see ours are in the matte white finish with the brushed bronze handles/knobs.
In our smaller kitchen having this streamlined look makes everything feel more spacious. They coordinate with our white cabinets perfectly and make this neutral loving girl so happy!
Having a double oven with touch screen technology is a bonus feature that we are quickly getting used to… Truthfully, our last double oven had been broken (the bottom portion) for about the last five years so having a working oven is a luxury in itself and we are so grateful.
You can see a closer look at the details on these incredible appliances.
A water dispenser inside the fridge that makes both cold and HOT water available… I have tea daily so this again, has been such a treat!
Next we added HanStone Quartz Counters in Montauk as this looks like marble and that is something that I really love in design. You may remember that we had our DIY tiled marble counter previously and while they did work well for us over the years it was time to repair or replace. So we choice to replace and these new counters have been a wonderful choice.
You can see the grey veining on these large slabs and the silky smooth finish in white is so pretty!
We made the decision to carry over the Montauk quartz onto the island as well and it has proven to be a great work area.
FloForm in Kent did all the demo, planning, measurements, fabrication and installing for our countertops and we could not be happier with all that they did. They were so helpful, kind, courteous and professional each and every step of the way.
They made the process of renovating a kitchen that much better and we were thankful for the opportunity to work with them!
The next big change we made in here (that you have seen some of already) were our new floors. We partnered with Lumber Liquidators and added this Sandbridge Oak EVP CoreLuxe vinyl plank flooring.
It is made to look like hardwood flooring, waterproof and has held up so well these past few months. These floors see lots of traffic with two kids, two pups, two adults and lots of wet weather here in the PNW. We have been so impressed!
I don’t want to forget to share some of the other changes or finishes we added, such as our farmhouse sink and touch faucet from Wayfair.
We then chose to change out most of our hardware to a brushed bronze with some pops of black (found within our lighting).
We have this blank wall that I have played around with throughout the years. This time, I wanted to add some detail to the area so we did board and batten in a muted shade. I really am liking the change and the little bit a variety in color.
Of course flowers, plants and accessories are slowly finding their way into the kitchen here.
I am taking my time getting to know the space and add to it as I collect pieces that fit.
I am learning over the years to enjoy the process and not feel too rushed to finish with things that I just won’t want after a season of time. After all, this kitchen has taken ten years to get from there to here. It has taken investments, lots of time, sweat and some tears, (haha…after some DIY mistakes occasionally) and a feeling of accomplishment. But most of all a feeling of total gratitude. It has taken us awhile to make this happen and we don’t take it lightly. Having a kitchen with these features is so special to us and we are enjoying every single feature. We pinch ourselves now that it is done and we have you to thank as well. For cheering us on, following along, caring what we do here and so much more!
And a big thank you to Cafe Appliances, HanStone Quartz, FloForm, Lumber Liquidators and Wayfair for sponsoring this post and making our dream kitchen in this little home of ours possible!
