Our Updated Powder Bathroom

A Look At How We Gave Our Powder Bathroom A Makeover!

Hi friends! After a lovely summer, the kids are back at school and I am here busy at the house working on projects/getting things ready to share with you here! In fact, I have two rooms to show you this week. At the end of spring, I decided it was time to tackle our powder bath. I chose to give it a budget friendly and quick makeover. I know that I shared the progress shots in an earlier post. But today I wanted to show you the after!

Here is the before.

A Little Catching Up

It just felt dark and heavy in here. I have never loved these countertops (we have them in the upstairs bathroom as well). I also don’t want to spend the resources on changing all of these things though as they work perfectly fine and we have other things that we would rather be working/spending money on!

So I went to work with paint (here you can see some of the different colors I tried out).

After a fresh paint job, I added a new mirror, hardware and simple accessories.

Here you can see the after.

The total of this project was around $185 and I couldn’t be more pleased with how fresh and bright it feels now!

Down the road, we will change out the lighting, add art and maybe even incorporate some pretty tile. I also need to do some caulking on the cabinet doors (one day haha).

My big theme lately has been to tackle projects so that things feel more like us. In doing so, it cleans up spaces, gives it a new look. I really don’t let it bother me that I can’t do everything at once. Most of my projects are done in phases. I have so many plans for all the different ceilings, finishes, art, and decor. Those will get woven in as time allows. A project like this really goes to show how it feels like a completely different bathroom with some easy changes!

Thanks so much for stopping by today… I can’t wait to give you a look at the next room we tackled!
