Welcome Home… A Peek At The New House!

Hello sweet friends! I have been waiting for the day to write and share this post… But we are home here in the new house! I shared all about it in a tour over on Instagram, but of course I wanted to share here too! I have some photos of the day we got the keys and started moving in. I also have some progress photos as we have begun painting and chipping away at projects. I will be sharing our plans and what we will do with the house. Some of these things will happen quicker than other and some will take time. Regardless, more than anything we are so thankful for this home and I never want our to-do plans to overshadow our gratefulness for this special place of ours.

Before I get into all of the tour, I also wanted to say thank you for all the kind words and encouragement you left me as I shared about this new chapter. I haven’t had time to respond till now, please forgive me… But know that it means so much to me to have you all here and when you take the time to respond. =).

My camera is still packed away, so these are phone photos (it was the best I could do right now, haha)!… Alright so here we come into the entrance of our home with a curved staircase (I think this staircase is really lovely). Eventually, we will tear out the carpet.

Then this is the formal living/dining area where will have a sitting space and then the large round table to do gatherings. The carpet is coming out of here this month and we will be replacing it with the wood look tile flooring that already exists here on the first floor.

As you pass the staircase, you find yourself in the family room and another dining area.

Here is the kitchen with a great layout… I love having a sink by a window (we didn’t have that in our last home). You will see here in some of the progress photos that the cabinets came down. We will be putting in new appliances and countertops as well. I will share some vision/mood board with you soon!

The house has a circular floor plan, so from the kitchen you land back into the formal living room/dining room.

Upstairs are the bedrooms and two more bathrooms (I didn’t take photos of this before, I forgot oops!). We have started painting up there though as I wanted the kid’s spaces to be done. I want them to have a place to enjoy that is finished.

Here is a quick look outside also… The pool and playhouse (we will use as a pool house) were an absolute bonus!!!

Here is a look now at the progress that we have been making. We have only been in here for 9 days so I would say we got a good start!
