Well good morning friends! There is more summer goodness on the agenda today and I am joining Lory over at Designthusiasm for the Styled + Set tours. Welcome to those of you who are coming here from Rachel at Maison de Pax. Rachel is the sweetest and I just love seeing how she incorporates the seasons into her beautiful home.
Here I am saying it again, but I chose to keep things simple for this summer season. In fact, I have a feeling I will be keeping things simple throughout the year (time will only tell, haha ;).
Anyhow, for this tablescape I wanted greenery to be the focal point. So I grabbed a few vases I had on hand and used a few bunches of faux ferns inside.
Then I used all my gold accented flatware and chargers to compliment the emerald tones.
I had this green stemware out at Christmas time and thought this would be the perfect occasion to use it again.
Can you believe I found that stemware at the dollar store?!
As much as I am tempted to always grab something new at the store to make the table special or more festive, I find it so rewarding to use what I have on hand.
Creativity goes such a long way and mixing and matching what is already there makes it just as beautiful!
Plus, your guests are there to enjoy good conversation, memories and more. You can do that with whatever sweet dishes, stemware or centerpiece you have.
Summer is such a wonderful season and one that feels care free. In so many ways I feel it works to have our homes reflect just that.
Can’t you just smell the grills going, the outdoor music humming and the birds chirping their late night songs?! I sure do love this pretty time of year…
Thanks so much for visiting with me! Make sure to head on over to my friend Sheila at Maison de Cinq. Sheila is a sweetheart with a lovely, elegant home!
The rest of the tour is listed below for you to enjoy! See you tomorrow!
