Hello friends and welcome to those of you who are visiting from my talented friend Janet Shabbyfufu! Janet’s home is magical each season and a wonderland at Christmas! I am thrilled to have you here tonight as I close the season with a tour of our home all lit up at night… It’s all apart of the Christmas Nights Tour hosted by my sweetest friend Rachel at Maison de Pax… It is a post I have looked forward to enjoying and now have the total honor of sharing as well, what a treat!
Here you can see our traditional fireplace living room where we have always left a note for Santa…
This little room has alway held a tree in the corner as long as we have lived here and I can’t imagine doing Christmas without one there.
Packages are wrapped and sealed until the big day and the glitter glistens amongst all the twinkle lights.
I sewed these linen stockings when my littlest was a baby and I just can’t not use them each year. Even though our decor may change through the years, I am certain these will always have a place.
As you travel throughout the house you will find your way to the back where we have a joint dining and family room space. I have loved keeping things mostly simple with our table lately and candlestick aglow felt like the perfect touch for a glimpse into our home at night.
Between the outdoor lights and the centered Christmas tree, things are nice and cozy around here.
It’s such a delight to enjoy your home throughout the seasons, don’t you think?! I love the summer nights, but as Christmas rolls around nothing quite compares to the memories and the charm of this beautiful time. Most importantly the reason we do it all…
Don’t mind my crooked candles, haha… I was too busy trying to make sure I could get a bokeh shot here and there! 😉
My kiddos are filled with anticipation as we near the day of celebration. I just made a comment on Instagram that the excitement is palpable here. One of our kiddos is getting his two front teeth for Christmas while my baby is just about to loose her first at the same time… Where does the time go?! I love observing their joy for all things Christmas and I treasure their example.
Our tree sits in the middle with presents tucked away for lots of giddy squeals on Christmas morn.
A candle lights the corner of our room…
While knit stocking hang by the flickering flames…
Before we know it…
it will be time to tuck these sparkly decorations aways till next year.
Until then, I want to savor the last days as we approach the greatest gift of all.
In closing, I wanted to give you a little peek at our outdoor space.
In true form, the wind was blowing and the rain was falling, so these photos were taken from my kitchen window… lol.
I couldn’t resist a little more Christmas cheer out here and I hope you will enjoy!
Don’t forget to stop on over to my friends Alicia and Nick at A Burst of Beautiful… Their home is so beautiful!
Thank you so much for stopping by, I am always very grateful to have you. I will be taking a short blogging break to spend time with my family for the remainder of this season. Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
