Hello friends! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying these days leading up to New Year’s. We had a mix of busy and quiet days surrounding the holiday and I do just love the memories we make this time of year… I have been looking back at this past year, enjoying the DIY’s we’ve completed, the fun finds we’ve purchased and dreaming up plans for this next year too. Today I’m sharing a look at some purchases I have made and why I have loved using them in our home.

Chenille Cable Knot Throw

As fall was approaching I quickly bought this Chenille Cable Knit Throw. It is soft, has a good soft loftiness to it and is the first blanket everyone tries to grab when relaxing on the couch haha! It is available in a couple sizes and a variety of colors. We went with the ivory color.

Velvet Pillow Covers (2 Pack)

These velvet pillow covers were a fun affordable find as they come in a pack of two! They are a soft texture in a pretty earthy camel color. They were great for the fall season but could easily be used year round. I’m considering keeping this color combo going after this holiday season as well.

Pair of Cordless Table Lamps

Purchases of 2023 and why they are my favorite!

As we hit our time change, I knew I wanted to have things that made these shorter days feel cozy and warm. I had long seen cordless table lamps, but didn’t love the price. I was so excited to come across a pair of these bronze cordless table lamps and they have worked beautifully! They have three settings and you tap the button to turn them on. They charge as well so no batteries needed! They are also available in a variety of color finishes. You can place them anywhere: table settings, side tables, on a cabinet etc… I especially enjoy having them at our dinner table.

Bissell Little Green Multipurpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

You know we have our off white accent chairs in the formal room and they are so comfy! But they had really gotten dingy over time. I chose to buy this Bissell Little Green Multipurpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner as it has come highly recommended by so many. It worked great! Our chairs were pretty dirty as dust had settled in some difficult to get areas, but I was super happy how they turned out! Of course, I would make sure to test fabrics and follow directions for how you clean any of your own pieces. I plan to use this machine on our banquet cushions soon.

Green Leaf Branches

I will always choose to use real branches and greenery when I can. But let’s be honest, that gets expensive and really just not always practical over time. I bought these Green Leaf Branches last year and really like them. They are faux and there is no getting past that. You can tell they are plastic, but I feel they are a good fake, they are affordable and look really pretty when arranged. I have them all throughout our home.

Faux Electric Fireplace Logs

This is a huge one! I love it so much… I am actually going to do a whole blog post on this very soon. But I can talk a bit about it now. We have a faux fireplace and I wanted a solution for how to make it feel more cozy and real. As a result, we bought this Faux Electric Fireplace Logs . Much like the faux greenery I just shared, it is clearly not the real thing. Even so, it is a good fake! It makes glowing visuals like a crackling fireplace and with a screen in front it is so pretty. I would much rather enjoy this during those rainy days than an empty fireplace. It has a remote, a heather also makes sounds. But I will be honest, we really didn’t care for the sounds. We don’t use that feature or the heater either. I tested out a couple options and this one was the best. We have enjoyed it all season.
