Dining Room Progress with a Coastal/Ranch Design

A Look At Our Dining Room Progress!

A Coastal Design In The Dining Room!

I have been counting down the days to share our dining room progress with you! You may remember the various stages of this spot in our new to us home. It has seen a little bit of hard work (actually a lot, haha) since then and some pretty updates too. I was thrilled to partner with Serena and Lily for this update and added something really special to the room (you will see below in the after photos). But first let’s do a little recap of the space… It all started with carpet and blue/gray walls. We then removed the carpet, refinished the concrete floors below the carpet and painted the walls. And then began the fun part… Decorating!

Now you can see the after! Clearly we pulled all the furniture into here, it has been weeks of waiting for the floor to be done (so you can imagine the anticipation of finally filling it all up). Everything has fallen into place. But the true show stopper is this gorgeous Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier from Serena and Lily.

When thinking about designing this room, I knew that I wanted it to flow with the rest of the home which will also have a ranch/coastal vibe to it. The table in here is actually really large, 70 inches to be exact. So I was determined to use something that would be grand in size and look nice with these tall ceilings. The Capiz Chandelier was all of that and more!

This lovely chadalier is 29 inches in diameter and it fits the space like it was meant for it! What I love most about it is it’s organic, yet sophisticated feel…

The capiz shells on this fixture are one of kind making this chandelier one of a kind as well!

It is the perfect subtle coastal addition I had in mind for the design. The gold details make it glisten in the sun and the capiz shells cast a warm light when lit. Serena and Lily has so many beautiful things to choose from, this one piece has been on my wish list for as long as I can remember.

Its texture marries well with the other patterns and tones going on in the room. And while the Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier is the showstopper, the drapes, updated chairs and textiles compliment each other too. This will be my absolute favorite addition here and will be such a treat enjoy family dinners below.
