Summer Mantel Ideas!

Good Morning friends (or evening, afternoon… depending on when you read this, lol)! I am going to share how I got our mantel “ready” for summer. But I really wanted to practice what I preach and keep it simple/budget friendly too! At first when thinking about this post, I thought I was going to need to create something with art or go buy new accessories. But then, I stopped and reminded myself that all that wasn’t necessary to make something beautiful. I could shop the house and recycle what I had here. So I did just that and hope it encourages you that you can make a beautiful home without the latest and greatest!

I am joining my sweet friends including Krista from The Happy Housie to share these ideas, so make sure to visit all of them at the end!

In the summer, I like decor to feel free and decluttered! I want things to be fresh and bright. So of course I stuck to a monochromatic theme here ;)…

I kept the umbrella tree in the corner and love how plants pop against bright white walls!

I flanked the fireplace both with the plant and then a large basket. The basket pulls in texture and grounds the space a bit!

Then it came time to decorate the mantel itself.

I grabbed this little vine I had in the kitchen and used it alongside my mirror. You don’t need the mirror, I just always like to keep this one centered here.

Then I ran to the garage and found all the smaller white vases I could find to line the ledge.

Super easy and affordable! Even if you don’t have stuff like this at home, you could thrift for under $20 easy!
