Elegant and Rustic Holiday Table Setting
There’s something magical about blending elegant details with rustic textures, and this holiday table captures that balance perfectly. With cozy plaid tones and timeless winter elements, it creates a welcoming setting for any seasonal gathering.
From woven chargers to blue chinoiserie candlesticks, every layer adds depth and charm to this festive spread. A soft rose centerpiece paired with fresh evergreens ties the whole look together with warmth and sophistication.

This holiday table setting was actually used for our Thanksgiving table. I intended to share it earlier, but the holidays were lovely and busy all at the same time. I didn’t get to it in time so I am sharing it now. While I used it for Thanksgiving, it is a versatile set up and could easily be displayed for a Christmas dinner! You could even put red berries in this floral arrangement.

For a little back story on this table setting, I actually spent about a month collecting items for the table with this vision in mind. I frequently visited thrift stores each week looking for blue dishes, rattan chargers, a centerpiece of some sort and chinoiserie patterned vases or candlesticks.

I was so excited to find everything I was looking for! I pretty much kept visiting the same 3 thrift stores and little by little I found the treasures I wanted. I had these things in mind knowing I would use it all again for Christmas. I would just plan to mix up the colors with flowers and the table cloth.

I did already have some things that I owned and I used them such as these DIY glass hurricane candleholders, my white dishes, white napkins and my glassware/flatware. Oh and my capiz shell placemats!

I am so happy how this spread came together! The brown plaid runner is actually a scarf and it made it feel fitting for the Thanksgiving vibe I wanted.

Candles just make everything more magical of course. I have a mix of faux and real here on the table.

For the centerpiece I used a second-hand basket and put a bowl inside that held the water. I mixed an assortment of white cottage roses, pine greenery, chrysanthemums, Queen Anne’s lace, boxwood stems, eucalyptus, twigs and magnolia leaves.

The arrangement was what gave the rustic element and it smelled just lovely! I haven’t used roses enough during the holidays and I am choosing to incorporate them more this year.

I wasn’t sure if the arrangement would need to be moved during dinner, but it actually worked well sitting there and all guests could still smoothly see each other and visit. Sometimes if I have had a larger/taller centerpiece then I just move it right before serving the meal.

As I’m finally getting to share this, it will feel like no time before the next table will be set and this time for Christmas! As I mentioned, I will keep all of this and just change the look of the centerpiece, as well as the table runner. I already have an idea of what I want to do and I can’t wait to share with you soon!

What a pretty table setting! I particularly like the flatware. Where could I find something like that? Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Your table setting is absolutely beautiful, as well as the centerpiece!! Love to see what you did for Christmas.
