A Tour Of Our Home At Christmas!
A Look Into Our Home This Christmas Season!
Welcome to our home sweet friends… This is always such a treat to have you join me here throughout Christmas season for different DIY’s, recipes, etc… It is SUCH a joy to decorate our home and get to share it with you as part of a whole tour. I am joining Kristen at Ella Claire & Co. today as part of the Seasons Of Home tours and showing you a look at our entry, living and dining room. You will want to go visit these lovely friends also sharing down below too!
Here you can see as you enter our front door and look into our living room. I moved trees this year from the window corner to the center of the room and I have loved it so much more! We get to enjoy it from every angle and can even see it from the kitchen this way too.
I cozied things up with more twinkle lights and plaid blankets and this fun faux fur rug!
I am always amazed at what a couple candlesticks can do to a space… It doesn’t take much, but makes the ambience so peaceful.
This year I really focused on the details of our trees with lots of ornaments and fillers… But wanted to keep the other greenery simple with twinkle lights and not much more than what you would find in nature.
Everything has felt very warm with metallics, lights and wood tones. And then at the same time I kept some fresh blues as part of the mix. I really have liked the combo!
I really let the furnishings and decor in our rooms here dictate the Christmas decor. It truly was my inspiration.
My goal is to keep this collection of decorations growing throughout the years. I used all of these very decorations last year but added some new ornaments here and there. Some handprinted pieces and then a box of store bought straw ornaments.
I set the table with some relaxed linen napkins, greens, a thrifted vase and a little bit of gold.
I accessorized the linen napkins with a faux branch and berries. The same ones you will see sprinkled throughout my tree.
Again it is simple, yet elegant and rustic all at the same time. I have some Capiz shell placemats that I found antiquing as a base for each place setting.
These smaller wine glasses belonged to my grandmother.
And as I mentioned before you will find special heirloom pieces from many generations of family in our tree.
You may notice a theme here of collected, inherited, second-hand and a little new too.
As you head back out and into the other side of our home you will pass through our newly renovated stairwell.
I used an assortment of garland to drape down the stairs. I wrapped lights around and it is so pretty twinkling from top to bottom floor.
I kept all of our shells out and used them to compliment the surrounding greenery.
I recently added some hooks to our entry way and it was the perfect spot for a hanging wreath and beach hat.
That is it for today… I will be back next week with the rest of our home. I hope you enjoyed and please don’t forget to visit this inspiring tours as well!
