Some easy ways to incorporate warmth and coziness in the kitchen!
How I make our kitchen warm and cozy during the Christmas season!
I am slowly making my way decorating for Christmas around the house. I have said it before, and I will keep saying… I just LOVE this Christmas season! Over the years I have found really simple and effective ways to bring warmth and coziness to spaces. Today is all about the kitchen! I am joining Kristen from Ella Claire & Co. as we all share cozy Christmas inspiration.
For starters, sweet treats make such a welcoming statement when they are scattered throughout on countertops. I really like the idea of family/guests being able to help themselves to a gingerbread from a cookie jar. I recently added these glass gingerbread houses and think they are darling!
When I was preparing to decorate here this season, I really made a goal that most of my decor was edible and would serve a purpose more than being just pretty. Fruit and spices do just that!
In fact, I took some of the orange slices above and mixed them into a pot of water for stove top potpourri.
My whole family commented when walking in the house how much they loved the smell. So easy and pretty!
I took some more of the sliced oranges and baked them for garland I am making this season.
The remainder of oranges were grouped in a bowl with herbs. The smells and vibrant colors make for the most delightful experience with your senses and really help everything feel warm/inviting!
As I shopped at the grocery store I made sure to grab one of these cedar wreaths. It smells amazing too. Adding a wreath to the kitchen also makes the kitchen feel cozy and sentimental.
Lastly, a candle burns quietly in the corner with Christmas greenery. Simple and yet so beautiful!
Nothing about making the kitchen cozy and warm is complicated, it is so easy to do and by using things that are functional it works together seamlessly. I hope you enjoyed and make sure to visit my friends sharing down below too!
