A Valentine’s Day Tablescape with Tulips and Roses!

Wow it has been so long sweet friends! I took some extra, much needed time off and away from the blog and social media after Christmas. It felt good to my soul… After a very busy and emotional move from our home this early fall and then a next step, straight into the busiest season of blogging… I knew I needed to have some space to refuel my tank. Now I am back and so happy to be joining you again. So you can imagine my joy when Sheila from Maison de Cinq invited me to join this Valentine’s Day blog hop!

While we still don’t have an official dining room, I chose to head over to my mom’s place again and use her dining room as my blank canvas.

Floral arranging is my favorite thing to do and it had been so long since I have done any! So I used my usual tips and tricks…

I grabbed my faux florals and then purchased some fresh ones from the grocery store as well.

I taped up the top of my bowl vessel into a grid pattern so that it would hold all the stems in place.

And then I began arranging… The cottage roses were faux but the vibrant tulips were the real thing.

I loved the neutral palette with the pretty pops of color…

I also pulled out all my wrinkly linen textiles and sprinkled them throughout with napkins and my table cover. I recently made these heart shaped napkin rings and included them (a DIY for these is coming later this week)!

The most elegant element (besides the flowers of course, haha) was the gold flatware.

It gives everything that understated beauty and pulls together such a lovely table without trying too hard!

I love setting tables like this whether it is for a large group (although that hasn’t been happening lately) or for my small, sweet family.

I hope you enjoyed and please don’t forget to visit my amazingly talented friends down below!
