Simple Black and White Fall Porch
Simple Fall Porch With Black and White
How To Decorate Your Fall Porch With Black and White
Thankfully the weather has held up long enough this week to allow me to capture some of our outdoor spaces dressed up for Fall! I am going to be intentional about not complaining about the weather here this Autumn and Winter, but it has been a pretty mild summer for us. I really missed the sunshine… Here’s to hoping that this Fall and has some bright and crisp days ahead and less rain, lol… Anyhow, I am joining my friend Krista at The Happy Housie for some more of her Seasonal Simplicity Series as today is all about outdoor spaces!
Our little house doesn’t have much of a porch, but I still like to make it a bit festive.
And this year around, I wanted things to be a bit more traditional/modern with how it looked. I craved a basic look overall.
You can’t get much more basic than black and white ;)…
I ran to our local grocery store with a budget in mind and played around with different options.
Whatever combo I choose each year, I like to stick to some easy rules.
I always pick a taller plant to sit in the back. Then I stagger something midway with less hight and finish with pumpkins at the lowest hight in front.
Of course with more stairs and a bigger budget you can flex on these rules!
The mums were only 5 dollars a pot, the tall grass was also 5 dollars a piece so that was a great deal!
I keep extra faux pumpkins on hand each year so that I don’t have to spend a fortune on real ones. I do buys several as I really love them.
And there you have it! A really basic porch area (or stoop 😉 all ready for fall with just a handful of pumpkins, grasses and mums.
Keeping things simple in color made this porch very easy to pull together as well. I hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for stopping by!

i am always a fan of black and white- looks so fab!
The arrangement is very pretty and well done BUT, the true beauty will come when the MUM’S are in full bloom. Every thing blends so well.
You can’t go wrong with classic black and white! Very nice. Thank you for sharing on the blog hop.
I love white pumpkins too!
