DIY Macramé Trimmed Vases and Bottles

Bottles

Hello Friends, hope your week has been good. Thank you so much for the kind words and support with my home tour seen here earlier this week. It was so much fun to be a part of and to have you visit! Today I am sharing such an easy and fun macrame update to any bottles or decorative vases you may have lying around.

You may recognize that I have been using these vintage bottles here in this spot since Christmas last year. I just change out the flowers or foliage to make a simple update through the seasons.

When all the winter decor was put aways I had these DIY wood garlands that I hung off the bottles and I have kept them there. I love the texture they add and I think they could stay all year if wanted. To take it a step further I thought I would hang some macrame trim to give the area a more coastal vibe. This is something I have been noticing in the home decor stores and I thought I would show you how easy it is to duplicate!

All you will need is…

  • a lace or macrame trim long enough to fit around your bottle/vase (can be found in the trim section of your local craft store)
  • scissors
  • stapler/staples or fabric glue

  • Measure and cut your trim to length.
  • Staple or fabric glue the two ends together carefully.
  • Drape over your vase or bottle.
  • So easy! And big impact!

These are the types of touches that really draw in the eye, they are the details and the details are so special.

Never underestimate the importance of texture…

One of my favorite things about texture is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. It can be as little as yarn, trim, etc…

Hope this inspires you to think of how to add noticeable touches on a small budget and enjoy! Hope to see you later with The Inspiration Gallery and thank you for stopping by~
