A Christmas Tour Of Our Home
A Look At Our Home During Christmas!
A Tour Of Our Christmas Home!
Hi there friends, this is always such a special post to be a part of and I am so grateful to share here with you. I am giving you a look into our home decorated for Christmas and while this home is very temporary for us this season… I have still tried so hard to make this basement we are borrowing feel like home. Getting to decorate for Christmas made it much easier to do, because Christmas just feels like “home”. I am thrilled to be joining Kristen from Ella Claire and Co. for these home tours!
As you are aware of by now, this space of ours is smaller than our last home, so while we don’t have all the rooms to share… We do have some fun spots to show you that I haven’t shared yet. Like this staircase!
I have always wanted to decorate a staircase with garland and this was a great opportunity!
Everything is in its place with stocking hung and presents wrapped…
Twinkle lights and candlelight warm up the space and make it all feel welcoming…
I kept the pillows and textiles neutral/cozy… A subtle plaid goes a long way!
You may remember this cane cabinet I refinished recently.
I chose to hang a wreath with bells above!
It all feels festive, but not overdone.
I think with all the change this year that I our family has been dealing (I know so many are)…
Pulling out all these special pieces brought has brought so much joy for each of us.
The kids are at such a fun age… They are pulling out things and remembering them fondly…
Such as their stockings and the candy cane ornaments…
I have so enjoyed this new mantle on our faux fireplace this year!
And as we leave this room let’s head into the bedroom.
This bedroom is so much bigger than any bedroom we have every had actually. So we pulled a tree up and I will be sharing that more later with you!
I took these antique frames that belonged to my grandma and changed out the prints inside.
I chose snowy prints that coordinated a bit and think they just feel so sweet.
With some evergreens by the bedside things feel all ready for the season!
This Christmas season I chose to not buy (I ended up grabbing that blanket on the sofa which is actually just a inexpensive scarf) and those prints for above the bed online. I spent less than 30 dollars for it all. It was so refreshing to decorate this way and I hope it inspires you if you are enjoying using only what you already have! It is always a pleasure to be here with you. Thanks so much for visiting!

I love the simple elegance!!! It’s my favorite look EVER. May I ask where you got the mirror above the fireplace? It’s stunning!!!
Have a Merry Christmas my friend
This is the prettiest basement! How lucky you are to have windows and light! I believe I started following you on Instagram around the time of your move, so I don’t know what you came from. I love your decor and color sense! DIY’s too!
Looks wonderful. Very calm but celebratory, What can you tell me about the trio of candles on your cane chest? They are so organic!
Beautifully executed. Love it’s simplicity and charm. Your place (basement!??!) gets so much light! That’s unreal!
Stay safe, stay well, stay thankful…..
