A Warm and Neutral Fall Mantel

Easy Neutral Fall Mantel!

A Warm and Neutral Fall Mantel

How Neutral and Warm Mantel!

We have made it to the middle of the week friends! Woohoo! When it was summer I didn’t care what day of the week it was… Now that school is session I am counting down the days until Friday like the rest of them, lol! As you can see I am moving through the house sharing each space as we prepare for the fall season approaching. Today I am talking about the mantel in our family room and how to go about creating one that is warm/neutral. I am joining sweet Krista at The Happy Housie!

If you came and visited our kitchen or our dining room on the blog lately, you will see the pattern that is emerging around here…

I am decluttering and really simplifying as much as possible…

I am keeping things basic, bringing in warmth with wood tones and earthy colors. I am doing lots of white/wood, browns, creams, grays and pops of black.

Of course greenery will still be showing up here and there too!

A Warm and Neutral Fall Mantel

For this mantel specifically, I chose to only put several things up.

I took a couple thrifted candlesticks that were black and used them for some anchoring.

Then I flanked the fireplace with my thrifted rattan stool. And I just loved the warmth that darker wood brought to the space!

My ZZ plant stands atop the stool to bring in a little bit of color as well.

I have had these dried grasses for several years now and they aren’t looking as fluffy as when they were new, but I still like them, haha. I plopped them in another thrifted votive and called it good!

Can you tell there is a theme happening here? Most of the new items are thrifted and all of this was done on a budget!

I hope it inspires you to use what you have, find something new to you that may be in fact second hand and to enjoy simple, because simple really is so pretty!
