Christmas In the Kitchen!

How To Decorate Your Kitchen For Christmas!

Oh friends… Today is one of my favorite days for sharing on the blog… Because I love kitchens and when you combine kitchens with Christmas…?! It becomes a favorite to share! We have worked so hard on this little kitchen of ours throughout the years and this is the first year I am decorating it since our bigger renovation last year… I am joining some incredible friends with Kristen at Ella Claire to inspire for the season. Today is all about Christmas kitchens and I sure hope you enjoy!

When decorating the kitchen, I basically start with 2 basics… An island centerpiece and a wreath. Believe it or not, I have actually had a giant tree in our kitchen in years past, lol… It was really pretty, just a little crammed ;).

I like my island centerpieces to be organic and a little wild ;). I used a combo of faux and real for this arrangement and kept it low profile so that you could still see through to the entire kitchen.

A bare wall or a wall that has some space to it, is the perfect spot to display a wreath! I got these bells last year and couldn’t resist using them again this time around.

Here is a wider look at the entire space from farther back and you can get a good peek at something we added this last weekend… I’ll be sharing more of that later this week hopefully!

We get a lot of good light in here and it makes the decorations shine just that much brighter.

Across the way you can see the shelves we added here last year.

They are such a great place for putting special seasonal touches, such as ornaments.

Or tiny Christmas trees.

This just goes to show that you don’t need a ton when decorating for the season. A little goes a long way!

Some of the views that peek through our kitchen are my most loved. Like this view into the main part of our kitchen… You can see the snowy landscape painting free printable I just shared yesterday too!

I like to add little nods to the season, like the painting there and those preserved lemons (which actually look like oranges to me… lol).

Oh and yes this one too, that view of twinkly lights get me every time… To be honest though, I think we are moving the Christmas tree next to the fireplace. So stay tuned to when we share our family room in a couple weeks!

Using baking tools as decorations is always a warm touch too. It evokes that feeling and memory of baking I think so many enjoy (or at least I know that I do ;).

I always enjoy visiting your kitchen, Love the pretty nordic looking style. Where did you find brass bells? Just love the simple beauty of the wreath/bells.
