I will share with you some easy patio update tips!
Hello there and happy almost summer! I think the official date for the season is June 21st?! So we are only a day away! I am sharing some summer updates to our front patio with my sweet friend Krista at The Happy Housie for the remainder of the Seasonal Simplicity Tours today.
I’m not gonna lie… I barely made this post happen and was cutting it so close, that it was almost too dark to photograph! We all caught a summer cold here at our house this last week and fell behind on so many things. One of which was finishing this patio set off with spray paint. I had already shared how we managed to get the chairs done, but the biggest pieces were still left on our “to do” list.
Thanks to my sweet hubby, we were able to get it all together (including cleaning cushions, gardening, etc…). He has been such a sweetheart with all the many projects running around here! While I would have loved to do my usual styling and getting things detailed for photographing, this was good enough! And I am so excited to share the little bit of progress we have made along the way.
I was able to grab a couple new flowering plants and they found their way to the front of our house.
This crabapple tree turns pink in the spring, green and then purple into summer… Therefore, I kept everything very simple with varying plants and neutral colors.
Again, we sanded down the weathered patio set and gave it a fresh coat of black spray paint. Now it is like new!
I sprinkled a few pillows here and there with our outdoor rug from last year.
And there you have it! A simple patio ready for the season and most importantly, ready to be enjoyed these next few months. I will have learned my lesson this time around and bring the furniture/cushions indoors so that it doesn’t require so much prep the following summer, ha! I hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to visit my other talented friends who are also sharing today! Thanks so much for stopping by…

It’s absolutely lovely, Annie! And I was exactly like you…in fact, I wonder if we were photographing it at the same time at night! Kudos to your hubby, and glad you could be part of this hop!!
