Christmas Decorating Traditions
It is only November 2nd and it may (or may not be 😉 surprising to see Christmas trees up in our home! We recently received a couple new trees from King of Christmas and I thought it was the right time to share how we decorate, more so – our Christmas decorating traditions…

For as long as I can remember being with my hubby, we have decorated early and so has his family. In fact, his family is in the Christmas business (decorating, trees, etc…) so this all came naturally to everyone on his side. We decided to take on these roles ourselves and have been putting our trees up on the weekend of Veteran’s Day.
I do tend to get some reactions when people hear or see this, lol. I get it and I know it is early – now that I have been blogging it is even starting a little earlier each year. But the truth is, I love it even more and so do my kiddos!
This is truly a tradition that brings memories of early marriage with my Ty, having babies ooh and ahh at the lights and now having growing children who beg when the time is coming.
Isn’t that what traditions are for? Early decor passed on from my husband’s family to ours and now to our children. I have to think that one, if not both, will carry on this tradition too =).

We can’t resist the twinkle lights and the amber glow for more than just a month.
And even though this is our tradition, it is not for everyone. I fully understand the value in waiting. Growing up my family sometimes waited until the weekend before Christmas to decorate.
That may be one of the biggest reasons I start so early now – haha! The decision of when to decorate should be a good fit for your family, one that you will enjoy and is not overwhelming work.
Over the last couple years, I like keeping the trees bare for a bit. just enjoying them as they are and taking my time making with the decor and putting it together.
I hope you had fun reading about our Christmas decorating traditions and may you enjoy whatever yours look like too as the season approaches.
Please do keep checking in as I will keep updates/tours coming with fun Christmas decor and ideas or tips!
Thanks so much to King of Christmas for supplying these trees and as always all opinions are 100% my own.
I’ve never thought about leaving them bare for awhile but thats a great idea…I don’t necessarily want to go full blown Christmas yet but I love the glowing lights on the tree!

I also start early as I do multiple trees. I really like the twq trees you received. Can’t wait to see how you decorate them. I also like the idea of leaving them bare for awhile.
I love your decorating! I’d like to know the source for the rattan dining chairs. ❤️
