Holiday Housewalk 2022 – A Tour Of Our Home This Christmas!
Hello sweetest friends and welcome to our Christmas home this year! I am joining Jennifer Rizzo from Jennifer Rizzo Home & Studio as part of her wonderful, Holiday Housewalk ! Jen is one of the most creative people I know and makes all things beautiful in her home! This tour is always such an honor to be a part of… Each and every year I get so excited to do this and I love to sit down with my computer to see all of the incredibly inspiring tours my friends are also sharing.
If you are joining here from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia then I am so happy to have you here! Kristin is very talented and I am always eager to see what she creates and how she decorates for the season.
I am sharing the parts of our home first that you have not had a chance to see yet…
Here you will walk into our family room where we spend lots of time by the fire enjoying movies, reading or doing games/puzzles.
This is where I like to have a our family tree located…
This tree holds a collection of our family ornaments.
Over the years that includes pieces we were gifted through our engagement…
Or presents that were given to our children for their first Christmases…
We also bought ones for places that we have visited or ones that we just think are pretty too!
Then you will see our banquette that I have been working on finishing.
Things are not quite fully finished, but that didn’t stop me from decorating!
The theme of my decor overall has been really natural, earthy colors…
I pulled colors from our surroundings, the beach, the art in our home, wood tones, florals and more.
And with that came decor in the form of natural spices and fruits like star anise, oranges and cinnamon!
It has just felt so cozy and I have truly enjoyed setting the tone for this lovely season.
Our kitchen is a treat to decorate as we just finished renovating it last Christmas…
Garland hangs by the window and the fragrances of all the Christmas goodies fill the air.
I did deck out the trees, but then kept all of our wreaths/garlands simple.
They bring the perfect touch to each space.
After living here for more than a year now it really is feeling like home…
And Christmas makes everything feel like home in my humble opinion.
By the way, cookie jars full of gingerbread men are an easy and delicious way to decorate kitchen corners!
And to finish things off you will come out of the kitchen and into our dining room.
Here you will see our larger tree this year! Decorating doesn’t have to cost a fortune. This tree was second hand and many things are recycled from years past. I also try to make a variety of our decorations when I can.
This is our living room with an organic yet dramatic mantel.
I love that is December 1st too and all the festivities are beginning…
I can’t wait to make lots of memories here in our home this year.
It will be a joy to make ornaments, bake cookies, watch Christmas movies and more…
I hope you enjoyed and please don’t forget to go visit my friend Jenna at Clean and Scentsible. She is a delight and makes everything so festive.
Thank you so much again to Jennifer Rizzo for having me and I wish you all the most wonderful Holiday!
