The Holiday Housework Tour 2023 In Our Home

Hello sweet friends! I am honored to join this Holiday Housewalk with Jen Rizzo. These tours that Jen puts together have been something I have looked forward to year after year. Jen Rizzo does Christmas so lovely and brings so much inspiration. So you can imagine how excited I am to be a part and share each time.

Welcome to those of you who are coming here from Stop 5 with Jenn at Clean and Scentsible! Jenn is so very talented and decorates her home so very beautifully during the season. I can’t wait to go and visit her tour today.

I have so enjoyed decorating our family room this year. We were home for Thanksgiving break this last week ad spent the time together working on our family tree.

This room is where we watch all our movies, have a real burning fireplace, play games and do lots of puzzles.

I had sewn these stocking years ago when the kids were smaller and I love using them in here too.

I have done different things with this family tree over the years, but it has always held special ornaments that we have made memories with at different times. But this year, I pulled all of them out (including the ones my husband and I received as gifts during our engagement).

And it just makes me so happy! I love looking at all of them and smiling at what I remember from each of them.

The kids always are sweet when we pull them out and it is a favorite time of mine!

You may have noticed from our formal Christmas tree, that I have used quite a bit of color this year and love it!

Across the way is our banquette in the kitchen… This is puzzle and game central.

We currently have a puzzle we have been working on during Thanksgiving break and I wanted to keep it here as part of the tour.

This is so much of what makes the season warm and cozy to me…

Around the corner you will see our kitchen and it hasn’t changed much from the last time I shared it with you.

Lots of simple Christmas decor sprinkled here and there but nothing too complicated.

As you walk your way through the kitchen you find yourself in our formal dining room.

Same as the kitchen, I have some greenery draped or hung and vases of pine centered on our big round table.

The formal Christmas tree is nestled in between the dining table and then our living room.

Everything is ready and set to go for the season with a cute little gingerbread man pillow.

The sun is making itself known and I will never take that for granted here! While a snowy Christmas is so beautiful, I just really appreciate the sunshine!

As this tour wraps up, here is our entryway.

Garland is draped with a mixture of Magnolia leaves throughout. This staircase is a favorite in our home and I get so excited to enjoy decorating it during the Christmas season!
