An Update to the Kid’s Rooms and a Review
(Bedding from Beddy’s Beds)
You may remember seeing this room update here for our little girl. It has seen a few updates in the last several months… What you can not really see is the mattress we were handed down there. If I have my information correct, the bed originally belonged to her very sweet Auntie when she was a little girl. So of course this was a fun thing to be handed down. But when we were given the opportunity to review a new mattress from Tuft and Needle it was something we really could use for her/appreciate. Her original mattress was many years old so while we didn’t have to change it, an upgrade was perfect! Making things even sweeter, we received a second one for our oldest to try out too.
First things first (which was hard to believe at the time)… the mattresses each came rolled up in a box! The kids just kinda stood there confused and no one was quite sure what to expect.
We followed the directions and removed it from the plastic…
then we laid it out to expand…
And watched it grow… Seriously this was how easy the whole thing was!
Here it is all ready and placed on our daughter’s bed looking like a real mattress. Now for the review, we were really pleased overall. It is a nice width and thicker than the mattress she was using previously. It is soft but still remains comfortably firm. And the next opinion may make me sound funny (as it really is something I always notice/am sensitive to) but there was not an odor. I tend to tell right away if something has a “new” smell to it and not in the “good” way kind of smell. This mattress seemed like it was almost odor free – a big bonus to me!
I think the kids are enjoying them too. You would never think kids would be so excited for a new mattress but it was a thrilling Friday night at our house when we were setting these up – lol.
Here is the second mattress in our son’s room, which will also be getting some updates in the near future. So you are getting a little peek at the before…
These mattresses seem as though they are well made and my husband really enjoyed the little informational videos they share on their website. Made in the USA and offered at affordable prices.
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope that you are having a good start to your week!
(Disclosure – I hope you find this information helpful and please know that it is honest. I only choose to review and share things that I support and will be honest in how I share them with you. Tuft and Needle provided these mattress in exchange for the review and it was my pleasure to work with them).
Love this sweet room, it’s lovely and I’m sure your daughter is very happy there! Wondering if you could tell me the source of your large bamboo shades and if you’re happy with it? We have a large on in our girls room too but I can’t ever seem to find the right fit at the right price. 🙂 Thanks!
Hi Erin, thank you so much! These shades are from Lowes and we do really like them. Our windows are a funny size and so we were able to pick these and have them cut to size in store, which is great! I believe they have a few options in color shade also. Hope that helps and I appreciate you being here!
