A “Little” Halloween Tour…
Easy Decor For Halloween!
How To Decorate Simply For Halloween!
First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your incredibly kind words yesterday on our Garage/Laundry Room Makeover. Your support blessed my heart! Today though is about something a bit more spooky ;). Really not that spooky, because you all know I don’t go big for Halloween. But each and every year my kiddos request that I up my game… lol. So to let them have a little fun enjoying decor this year. I do things a bit more with a “nature” inspired Halloween theme. And I am joining Kristen from Ella Claire to show some ideas for decorating during Halloween time.
I have slowly been collecting items over the years and my collection gets a bit bigger each time. Again, this consists of things you would find outdoors that I consider scary ;)….
That means, bats, cobwebs, spiders, rats and even some crows.
In both our dining room and family room I hung some spider webs. I also displayed a couple rats here and there.
My daughter happened to be home sick from school the day I did this so she joined in on the fun. And oh boy did she think it was fun!
We perched crows on candlesticks and a brown butterfly fluttered around the mantel.
I have actually found that the Dollar Store has a great collection of Halloween decor affordably. Or I grab some as the season comes to an end and things go on clearance.
Spiders found their way crawling up the wall and next to my ZZ plant. I’ll be honest…
A couple spiders fell occasionally without realizing, I would walk by and sincerely be startled… I would jump as if they were the real thing, haha!
I like to have the creepy crawlers creeping on surfaces.
Evy helped me with this display and I think it looks as though the crow/rat are having a conversation about how they can be spooky ;).
So there you have it! That’s as big as I go for Halloween :). But I do love seeing how creative my friends get!
