A Fall Home Tour!
How To Decorate Your Home Simply For Fall!
Well hello there friends! Today was whirlwind of a day! I have to remember to take a step back and breath sometimes as I just get going full speed ahead and don’t look back. Do you ever do this too? I think that is such a great reminder as we head in to these very full holiday seasons… And I hope that today’s post is some encouragement that going simple or scaling back can be a wonderful thing. As it also allows you to give the gift of time to yourself and some mental space. Again, I don’t think that decorating with more stuff or things is wrong either, I just find simple decorating keeps things more manageable for me… lol. That was a long aside! I am sharing our home all decorated for the season as I join Krista from The Happy Housie as part of her Seasonal Simplicity Series! Welcome to those of you visiting from sweet Sara over at Twelve on Main who does such a beautiful job with her decor!
I know that you all have seen so much of our home as we prepare for the season already. So today I wanted to try and share some areas of our home that I don’t show as much!
That includes our more formal front room here. This room is actually so hard to photograph with its tiny angles so I just don’t share it often.
I chose just to shop the house, add some pampas grass, candlesticks and candlelight for the extent of decor in this room.
There wasn’t a whole lot to do, but I feel like it speaks fall in here when you come to spend time in this space and that is all that matters.
As you head down our hallway you will find our Master Bedroom. There is really nothing master about it, haha. It is a small bedroom, but we have made some easy updates to it that keep it feeling fresh and relaxing.
I have been redoing the painting I had in this room because I wasn’t loving the original version I made. This time I went with deeper colors and some gold that would draw fall into this space too!
Neutrals continue to be my best friend for this very reason. It has made the seasons as easy as possible! Just throw in some pops of color with art or pampas grass.
In an attempt at not buying more things or spending more money, I grabbed all the hydrangeas I could from our garden. They are such a rich green color right now!
I really do love arranging flowers in my sink. It feels like a special tradition each time I put together arrangements. It makes it seem more fun that way, that seems strange I know, but it is true!
Here they are atop the island and that is all the fall you need…
At the end of our home, you will find our family room/dining room here with some subtle touches.
I am really enjoying the quiet nature of our decor this year and can’t wait to incorporate Christmas before you know it. I hope this inspired you with some simple ways of decorating! Next on the tour is Laura from The Turquoise Home who has the loveliest things to share!
And don’t forget to visit my friends below from the rest of the days earlier this week for their beautiful ideas too! Thanks so much for stopping by!
