An Easy Halloween Front Porch!
How To Make Your Front Porch Festive for Halloween!
Well we haven’t quite got everything put away and we are still living out of boxes a bit… I am trying my best to make things feel like home here at our temporary place for now. So of course that means pulling out the spooky decor for some Halloween front porch decorating! Two things I must note though, my decor really isn’t spooky (lol) and we don’t have a front porch here (haha). We actually have the basement door entrance and for all purposes, I am just pretending it is our porch because it feels like it ;)! I am joining my friends, Ashley from Modern Glam, Janine from The Happy Happy Nester and Leslie from My 100 Year Old Home.
I will say that I don’t go all out for Halloween, but I have found throughout the years, with younger kiddos, they do really enjoy doing something during this time of year for decorating…
So I try my best to rally and give them what they want! Which the scariest you will ever see me decorate, is by using nature’s creepy crawlers and creatures.
Over time, I have collected a bin of some simple things that I have found at the craft stores and dollar stores.
That includes lots of faux spiders, some crows, a couple rats and even butterflies.
All I did this year was stretch out webs and then have an assembly line of spiders/tarantulas.
I made sure to tuck a couple into the leaves of my faux fig tree too.
Crows sit perched waiting to caw loudly as they always do ;)…
And I think it adds the perfect amount of festivity for the season. Mostly, just something the kids can smile at as they walk to and fro from the door.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of inspiration!
