What is better than a summer’s evening finished off with warm chocolate, marshmallows and cookie… ?! Can’t you just picture sitting fire side while the sun is setting? I love the time we get out on our patio and love just as much enjoying treats fireside too (although these can be made in the oven as well)! I joined up with Ashley from Modern Glam, Janine from Happy Happy Nester and Leslie from My 100 Year Old Home to share some incredible S’mores recipes and ideas!

I’ll be honest… I am new to the world of marshmallow making…

I used my tried and true (favorite) chocolate chip cookie recipe. But I gave marshmallow making a try for the first time! To my excitement, they turned out perfect and were much easier than I thought.

This little treat is so easy to assemble. I have heard of some fun s’mores variations, but this one came to me the other day as I was whipping up a batch of cookies!

I took the homemade marshmallows (these are made from honey and gelatin so they are more natural) and centered them on a cookie. I placed the pair on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. You do want to make sure that the marshmallow is smaller than the cookie, otherwise things get a little too sticky and gooey, haha.

You set the cookie and marshmallow into the oven with the broiler on and watch carefully. You want to brown and crystalize slightly but not melt too much.

Once the marshmallow is ever so slightly warmed and soft, you will sandwich another cookie on top…

These did not last long in the house and everyone agreed they would need to be on repeat here!
