How To Put Together A Foraged Peony Arrangement!

I have found that putting projects together lately (without being able to get out) is just pushing me to be more creative and best of all, I am spending less money! It honestly reminds me of the days when I was staying home from work with my babies, living on our one income with my hubby. Those days were sweet and required lots of creativity. Today’s project felt much like those times because I wasn’t able to go grab fresh flowers like I typically do. Instead, I had to use the faux I had on hand and mix them with foraged greens from the yard. I am also joining some of my sweet friends, Ashley at Modern Glam, Janine from Happy Happy Nester and Leslie at My 100 Year Old Home as we all share our Peony ideas!

As you can see, I did my usual floral tricks and taped up my vessel.

I grabbed a large assortment of greens from the yard (some lilac and peony leaves, etc…)

Then I carefully added several of my faux peonies!

To give the arrangement some more depth, I added a few peach branches I also had on hand.

See how the peony leaves make the arrangement feel more real?

Of course this arrangement would be beautiful to use all real florals and greens, but it does go to show how getting creative with what you have can be equally as beautiful!

The funny thing is, some of the branches I grabbed were super stinky… Like rotten fish stinky and someone mentioned to me they may have been poisonous (this arrangement sadly found it’s way outside quickly after making it, lol)… So I would suggest ALWAYS checking first before clipping and bringing anything into your home!
