Hello all! I can’t believe that the Christmas posts here on the blog are winding down for the season! Where does the time go and the season truly does fly by, doesn’t it?! I am joining Kristen from Ella Claire as part of the Seasons of Home Holiday Decor Series. Today is all about Christmas bedrooms. This year in keeping with my simple approach, I wanted to create a “simply” decorated Christmas space!
To do that, I wanted to have a few statement pieces and of course a sprinkling of twinkly lights.
Our room is pretty small and so it gets cluttered very quickly. I used to fill it up with stuff and now I find myself editing, by pulling things out or donating items. I did the same with decor in here.
I went with a little faux tree and some tiny lights to give that ambience we all crave.
Across the way, you can see I grabbed fresh clippings from Trader Joes. Once I had them in the vase, I noticed they made the shape of a Christmas tree and I was even more smitten!
I kept all my bed linens the same except for trading out a pillow and then used a giant shawl I had for the throw. It gave those pops of black I wanted as well as the pattern of plaid which always says “Christmas” to me.
Oh! And I can’t forget the garland! This is faux, plus it is nice and skinny, so it holds up well above the arch. I like how it gives that little extra detail without going over the top.
Thanks for visiting with me again all, I hope of course you do leave with a little inspiration! And you won’t want to miss the rest of my very talented friends sharing down below… Make sure to visit and say hello.
