How to Style Real and Faux Pumpkins

As I was preparing for a fall tour of our home, I started playing around with all the pumpkins in our house.  I thought I would share a few ways to style them.

Pumpkins to me, are the epitome of fall and one of my favoirte ways to show that it has arrived.  They are typically inexpensive and there are such wonderful faux versions out there to buy today.  I usually will mix my faux and real ones.  In fact, this year I painted many of my faux ones different tones of green.  I wanted to change up our fall decor colors a bit.

Now onto how you can display them on your coffee table, island or even dining table.

Pile them in a basket (like my green metal one from Painted Fox Treasures – affiliate link in sidebar) or a tray of some sort with different types of foliage popping out.  I got these faux sprays from JoAnns for only a few dollars.

You can also group them together like above.  I still used my basket of pumpkins but then added varying heights to the collection that surrounded the basket.

Dont underestimate the beauty of simplicity and just display one or two pumpkins.  This is just as beautiful and adds the perfect touch.

The great thing about these pumpkins is that the basket of pumpkins cost less than ten dollars because they are all painted dollar store pumpkins with driftwood stems. The other pumpkins are real minus the large orange one bought with at 50% off. Such an affordable way to decorate!

I am also over at Lucy’s Craftberry Bush today sharing how to make another piece of decor perfect for fall texture, a faux fur footstool DIY.  I would love for you to stop by and check it out.

Stay tuned later this week as I share our home ready for this splendid season we call fall – until then, have a great week!
