Midwinter Greenery and Flowers

MidwinterGreeneryandFlowers

So while writing this post I struggled to figure out the title. I know it’s not quite spring, winter is almost through and even though midwinter is a bit off, I thought it was the most fitting – lol.

In the past I’ve shared similar posts for fall and winter. Today I am showing how I use greenery and flowers for this inbetween time of year…

HERBS

  • It is almost time to start planting here and it just felt fitting to bring in herbs.  Fresh of course is beautiful but pictured are a faux version that I have been loving.  They actually had little white balls throughout the top but I chopped it all of to make them look more realistic.  A little herb garden would be the perfect addtion for this time of year.

  • I use branches pretty much all year long.  They add such great texture, typically are inexpensive or free and work with all decor.

  • Stems with leaves are also a wonderful way to add greenery to your home.  When you are all done with the pines this is a fun way to brighten your space up.

  • Roses.  Once Februray and Valentine’s Day are near, I feel like these just belong in our house somewhere.  These are also faux because as well as lasting longer – they are more affordable for me in the long run.  I do not argue that nothing can compare to the real thing, but I will just have to wait until ours start blooming in the garden.

I’ll be back sharing some more fun idea once spring officially is here! Hope that you enjoy these ideas and thanks so much for stopping by.
