How To Decorate a Christmas Mantel with Magnolia Greenery!
Welcome back this week friends! We had a nice weekend with a short getaway and it was fun. We were a bit tired getting back home, but were ready to jump into this short week with Thanksgiving right around the corner! I am joining my friend Krista at The Happy Housie for her Seasonal Simplicity Series. Today is all about mantels and vignettes so I wanted to share a peek at our simple Christmas mantel set with magnolia greenery!

This is our front room and it doesn’t get the best light so taking pictures in the winter is always a little tricky… I am keeping this room really minimal this year and I will be sharing more next week!

But as for the mantel, I hung the stockings that I sewed about 7 years ago. I like to stager the stockings on each side of our mantels. I did this in our family room too.

Then we have this ladder that I love to hang my jingle bells onto. I like to have things set on the sides of the mantel as well!

In order to get my garland how I want it, I typically take a couple different varieties and weave them together (wrap them around each other almost). And then I like them to hang organically (not perfectly straight). Although I think they are gorgeous anyway they are hung straight or not!

I put out this sweet basket of a few gifts… Nothing too fancy!

And here is a look at it all lit up with candlelight only. I am not sure if I will be using twinkle lights on the garland in here, most likely I will, lol..

The day I photographed this all I was on the hunt for an extra brass candlestick. I found this pretty one and it worked out great! I think a staggering of candlesticks is such simplistic beauty on a fireplace.

So easy to pull together and I love how calm it all feels.

There are so many wonderful ideas to enjoy from my friends who are also sharing so make sure to check them out!

I love how you layer the garland! And the magnolia gives it a softer feel. Love it!
Your mantel is beautiful. I once had a neighbor with a magnolia tree in their yard. They were generous to let me use their tree for many of my–get together–celebrations. I do cherish the bygone days and it’s beauty.
Simple and beautiful! That ladder is adorable.
Everything is so pretty love your garland!
Love, love the garland! Is it real or 2 fake ones intertwined? If fake, do you have a link to where to find the same or similar? Thank you!
