Holiday Housewalk 2020 – A Christmas Home Tour
A Christmas Tour of Our Home!
Holiday Housewalk 2020!
Hello there sweet friends, I am so happy to have you visiting today as part of Jen Rizzo’s beautiful Holiday Housewalk 2020. This is such an honor to be a part of this tour and it means so much to me that I get to open up our home and share with you here. Jen hosts this wonderful tour each year and it offers both inspiration and joy to those who swing by. Welcome to those of you who are visiting from Jennifer from Town and Country Living. Jennifer is such a sweetheart that I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the years. She is very talented and her home is justbeautiful every season .
You may already know this, but we recently sold our home this last summer. We are now temporarily living with my husband’s sweet Grandfather while we prepare to move again this spring. We live in the basement part of his Grandpa’s home and it gets great light for being a basement! Anyhow… This is the entrance and what it looks like when you enter into this little space of ours.
We did not have stairs in our last home so you can imagine how much fun it was to decorate this small one this year!
I just tied up some mixed garland and finished it up with satin ribbon and jingle bells.
I love the simplicity of it all.
As you head past the stairs you find yourself in our bedroom here…
I added some simple touches in here just with greenery and winter art prints.
And of course a Christmas tree!
Coordinating presents lay under the tree. This year, I chose to do my best and not spend on any decorations for the Christmas season and that even including my wrapping paper!
I also made sure to use ornaments that we already had. This tree only got a handful of ornaments as I wanted to keep it simple but pretty.
This bedroom is bigger than any bedroom we have lived so I am able to squeeze a little dining area by the window for fun!
It would be the perfect place to enjoy breakfast with some hot coffee!
I laid out greens with a few candlesticks and everything felt instantly more inviting!
It is amazing what you can use to decorate for the holidays and how using just some greens and a few ornaments can transform a space…
Of course you need to make sure and include the twinkle lights or flickering candlelight ;)…
As you exit our room you will head out into our main living area.
I recently added some vintage frames and prints to this little wall. It makes me smile to enjoy those little details.
And just trading out prints for something wintery makes the space that much more intentional.
Here is another look at our main Christmas tree, I was drawn to a vintage look and again created that using what we already had at home.
And as you leave our home here and head out the door…
You will find yourself on our decorated patio!
Wreaths and Christmas trees line the door and then there is a warm fire that urges you to stay just a bit longer.
Lots of twinkle lights can be seen from all the different angles of our home. The kids love this spot!
White poinsettias give a little extra joy to the space.
And what a treat it is to decorate “home” for this beautiful season. Not because of all of the decorations or the pretty things… But because of the reason for this season and what a wonderful celebration it is!
Thank you so much for being here with me today. Make sure to go and visit my amazing friend Destiny at Just Destiny as she will be the first stop tomorrow on Tuesday. Destiny has made such a gorgeous home and I absolutely love her style!
Annie, I love love love your trees, especially that gold and copper beauty by the mantel! And speaking of the mantel, love that so much as well. Your decor always feels so cozy but chic. Oh, and kinda of in love with that green wreath on the patio door!
