Mother’s Day Tablescape
Happy Thursday friends and welcome to a fun Mother’s Day Tablescape Tour! Some of you may be visiting here from Bree over at ZDesign at Home and I am so happy to have you here! A very big thank you to our hosts, Kelley Nan at Kelley Nan and Randi from Randi Garrett Design. I love the opportunity to share some inspiration alongside some talented friends and hope that you will leave with some useful ideas as Mother’s Day is right around the corner…
I kept my tablescape simple but colorful. I knew I wanted a table lined with flowers and also wanted something that showcased the many shades of pink.
As always, I was working on a budget and I stuck to it. I searched high and low for flowers in this color scheme and wasn’t having very much luck…
For some reason, I have found it tricky to find flowers that are reasonably priced this time of year. Many of the ones I really liked were just too expensive and our garden is just getting ready to bloom.
So you may recognize many of these flowers from previous home tours (here or here) or projects.
These faux flowers have given me versatility to use them for the last few months and in the long run saved me some money. Plus I can continue to use them throughout the seasons just by changing them up. You can too when you group flowers by color, size or type. In this case the vases of flowers were all white and each vessel carried a different type of faux flower. For example, roses and renunculas.
In addition, I have inserted some fresh leaves and foliage from the backyard like I have done with Christmas trees (here) and other arrangements (here). Doing this really does make the flowers so much more believable and real.
I used my favorite neutral dishes and napkins of different patterns (tutorial coming soon). Each one folded with a point, keeping it casual yet chic.
I wanted this setting to resemble a garden party or tea party of sorts.

I love the casual elegance made here with blooms and textural pieces.
Across the way you can see I kept the look cohesive by inserting a couple stems into my simple grapevine wreath.
Frayed linens and earth toned dishware make the presentation welcoming while the flowers make it fanciful.
Remember that using what you have can be lovely and makes the same impact as buying everything new.
A little creativity and love put into the decor go a long way and of course, it really is the thought the counts.
Even more, it is those special people surrounding the table when celebrating these occasions that make these events memorable.
Thank you so much for being here and I hope you enjoyed the tour. Make sure to find your way to the next stop over at my sweet and dear friend Ashley at House of Five. Here is the entire tour listed below – enjoy each and every table – I am sure you will. Have a wonderful day all!
