A Mantel Set for Spring with Hints of Pink and Blue

I have put together a mantel set for spring with hints of pink and blue that you can use for inspiration!

A white living room with green plants, a mirror on the mantel, and a fireplace.

Hello there again you all! Welcome today as I join some friends to share more fun as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Spring Series with Krista at The Happy Housie! Today I am showing our nature inspired sunroom’s fireplace mantel all decorated for spring with hints of blue and pink…

I also thought I would share some fresh easy tips on how I put the mantel together in case you want to try something similar!

-Flank your fireplace with a plant on one side…

A green plant beside the fireplace.

I happened to pick this one up at our local grocery store in the thick of winter. It was on clearance and looked a little sad, but I am slowly nursing this green plant back to health.

– Use Special Decorative Pieces Scattered Throughout…

A white and pink vase on the mantel with a branch and green leaves in it.

This can include something crafty, like this vase I gave a quick coat of paint for a splash of pink. It’s not perfect with some obvious brushstrokes, but I actually prefer it that way =). You can see the art my son painted on display as well here. This was both something sentimental and also provided some more soft color to the space in a subtle way.

-Use Greenery Here and There…

Even though I have a plant on the side, I wanted to make sure and include a little woodland greenery with organic branches. I even added a miniature vase with a bit more, as I can’t resist greenery!

-Flank the other side of your fireplace with a stool or baskets…

A wicker basket beside the fireplace.

Even though these decor items are not the same height as the green houseplant, they fill the visual space and they add rich texture. Two plants would be just fine too, but I had enough already so out came the baskets, haha.

This one had some dramatic detail with the black base and white tassels so it fit perfect!

-Don’t forget to accessorize the surrounding area as well…

Since the fireplace was simple but full, I kept the coffee table easy with another plant and a candlestick/vase.

A gold tray with a small white vase, a larger planter with a green plant and a gold candlestick on it.

It pulls everything together and finishes the warm and inviting space off. And wow, I didn’t know I should have dusted better here… lol. I’m keeping it real for you all ;).

A large round mirror on the mantel with vases and plants beside it.

From far back you can see how this all comes together. I don’t worry too much about height and everything being perfect in that sense. I do try to keep the center of focus be tallest in height (the mirror in this case) and then let it fall somewhat even on both sides surrounding. Same with colors, mixing in elements of black, gold and then a tiny bit of color.

There is a large green plant on one side of the fireplace and a wicker basket on the other side of it.

I hope this may give you some fresh inspiration to decorate your spaces too! I always love getting to visit and share these ideas with you, thanks so much for being here!

I had the joy of my little lady lending a hand here as I got the space ready. I always enjoy getting to show you some of the behind the scenes too…
