Christmas Nights Tour 2016
Hello Friends, I am so happy to have you here today as a part of the Christmas Nights Tour hosted by my sweet and talented friend Rachel at Maison de Pax! Welcome to those of you who are coming from the amazing home of Kathleen at Lindsay Hill Interiors…
I was especially excited about this tour because of how magical it is!
Christmas decor at nighttime is the very best and it just feels that much more special enjoying the glow after the sun has gone down.
Truth be told, I am still learning about nighttime photography and I could not have done it without the tips and tricks from my amazing friend Rachel at Maixon de Pax.
I wanted to start this tour in the favorite part of our home (usually where I start most tours) and then take you to the front.
(Chair from Grandin Road)
This is our dining room where we enjoy the outside views from our sunroom.
(Garland, Candles and Hurricanes from Balsam Hill)
At night, the windows light up with reflections from the twinkle lights and everything is sparkly.
We especially enjoy our dinners here by the table and to make the ambience even brighter, I added a string of warm lights.
The Christmas tree is tucked behind the table and gives off some more of that cheer.
And outside we have the hanging lights that add some more sparkle (a project from last summer).
(Christmas Tree from King of Christmas)
Here is our tree all bright and shiny…
Across the way you will find our family room with candles additional twinkle.
Little details such as ornaments and faux greenery really brighten the space.
Presents are ready for the big celebration and oh my, have they been a temptation ;)!
Everything is just that more vibrant sitting under the tree.
(Rug from Rugs Direct)
All really is calm and quiet, it is such a peaceful feeling to sit amongst the beauty.
(Felt Ball Garland from Pearl and Jane)
I often wish this season lasted a bit longer as it seems to pass so quickly.
What a glorious celebration and no matter how big or small the decor may be it is part of the magnificent anticipation.
(Patterend Pillow from Serena and Lily)
To get ready for the big day we pull an ornament off as part of the “countdown”…
They are collected here till the tray is filled up to twenty – five.
Heading down the hall you will find our bedroom here.
A tree fills the corner and lights up the room.
Blankets and textures make the space extra cozy.
And midway through the hall you will find our sweet Everly’s room.
A simple mini tree is all that is needed to make this space ready for Charismas.
This room was made for sweet dreams and imaginative play.
(Bedding from Beddy’s and Comforter from Serena and Lily)
From Everly’s room you will head to the front of our house where there is a more formal living room.
This year it felt more of a winter wonderland. A place with snowy accents and warm details.
(Mirror, Rug and Stools from Grandin Road, Christmas Tree from King of Christmas, Wood Wall Panels from Stikwood)
The light bounces off of the small space and transforms it into something that mirrors the weather outside.
Each space translates differently in the night, yet becomes even more tranquil.
I love Christmas, but I love it most for what it means. I hope you enjoyed today’s visit and thank you so very much for joining me!
