The Stages of Our Kitchen Renovation and Design Plans!

I have truly appreciated your support and encouragement as we open our new home to you… I love the opportunity to share this all with you and today I get to talk some more about our upcoming kitchen renovation which will be completed in stages! To start I thought it would be nice to give you a good “before” of what we began with here the day we moved in…

Then here during the weekend we moved in, we also did this…

Plans and Designs For Our Upcoming Kitchen Renovation!

We did all of this in preparation for these plans (below) that I had been dreaming up since we found out that this would be our home…

Plans and Designs For Our Upcoming Kitchen Renovation!

As you can see from this mood board above, I have some big ideas for this coastal/ranch kitchen of ours! To start, I knew I wanted to begin with the foundation of countertops/appliances and then move out from there. I have had my heart set on honed quartz countertops from Caesarstone for a long time now. I have the privilege of partnering with them for this kitchen renovation and I was over the moon! But let me tell you why…

Caesarstone is an expert in the world of the natural minerals that make up quartz and it shows. The quality of their craftsmanship speaks for itself and so does the process of how they engineer these special materials. They manufacture right here in the United States. I especially like their safety standards and beliefs centered around sustainability.

The process of picking my countertops was made easy with the samples they sent over to me (pictured below)…

As soon as I got them, I quickly laid them out on our floors and paired them with the elements I knew we would use in the kitchen too (I photoshopped a candidate for our cabinet color as well). As I began the design process, it was actually hard to choose which Caesarstone color quartz I would go with, only because their choices are beautiful and timeless! That’s the thing with their quartz… It will last for years to come and has so many features that you desire when picking out a surface for your kitchen. For example, Caesarstone quartz is non porous, durable, easy to clean, hygienic, heat/scratch resistant and environmentally friendly (that is just the beginning)! There are also a variety of different surface finishes (another reason I was drawn to Caesarstone).

In the end, we went with Caesarstone’s Calacutta Nuvo in a honed finish for our choice. And I couldn’t be more excited! Here is a peek of where our kitchen was a couple days ago as we have been preparing for our new quartz countertops… We ripped out the old tile tops and have plywood in it’s place here. Finished Countertops will be part of our first two phases in the kitchen. This also includes: counter to ceiling tile, floating shelves, painted cabinets, apron sink and more! These next few weeks we will be working on checking off many of these listed projects…

For the final and third phase of the renovation, we will be receiving new appliances from Café Appliances. You can see a peek at what we will be working with again up in my mood board and I will be sharing more as we get closer to receiving them. I am always a fan of their unique matte white finish and brushed bronze accents! There is really nothing like them out there and their features are incredible. More on that soon.

I really can’t say enough about Café Appliances and Caesarstone or the quality of their product. They are such beautiful additions to any kitchen and they will all compliment each other so nicely. To say we are thankful is an understatement. Both Caesarstone and Café Appliances are amazing to work with and it is my pleasure to get to share these companies as part of our kitchen design. It is a pinch me moment. I highly recommend checking them both out if you find yourself in the kitchen designing phase of things too.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and allowing me to share the excitement of this whole process for our family. I appreciate you all so much.
